Cancer Control Project
Our Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Project (BCCCP) is a screening and diagnostic program for women who meet income guidelines, or for our Family Planning clients who have abnormal pap tests or breast exams. In 2002:
- 58 women were screened
- 49 mammograms were given
- 28 pap tests were administered
We found that:
- 84% of the women we screened were between 50-64 years old
- 25% of the pap tests we administered were to women who had never been screened, or had rarely been screened
